This is to inform the public especially aspirants of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) for the 2016/2017 academic session that the admission screening exercise of the institution has been announced.

Eligibility

Candidates who chose the polytechnic and obtained the required cut-off mark in 2016 UTME.

Please read through carefully and follow the instructions outlined below.
-Visit www.yabatech.edu.ng

-Click on the "POST UTME SCREENING 2016/2017"

-For mobile device, click on Prospective Students link and then on POST UTME SCREENING 2016/2017

-For new application, click on the “Apply” button

-Enter Your email address and phone number

-Proceed to pay by clicking on “Pay Now”

-Confirm your information and continue with the payment process

-Select payment option (BANK OR CARD)

-If option selected is bank payment click Submit and print the payment invoice and proceed to the bank to make payment

-After bank payment kindly go back to the college website, click on payment validation/confirmation link, enter the RRR number and click validate. If transaction is successful after validation kindly click on print evidence of payment to print your receipt

-If option selected is card payment, click Submit, enter your card details, and enter your soft or hard token for MasterCard or the i-pin for Visa cards. If transaction is successful after validation kindly click on print evidence of payment to print your receipt

-After payment, return to the Home page (follow step 1 and 2)

-Click on the “Login” button

-Enter your RRR number, your application number as username and surname as password

-Complete the form with appropriate information

-Click on Submit to complete your application

-Print your screening application data form

NOTE: Ensure that the O’level grades are correct because corrections cannot be made once you have submitted.

This is to inform the general public and prospective candidates that the 2016/2017 admission screening registration of the Plateau State polytechnic (PLAPOLY) will commence from Monday 8th August, 2016.

Eligibility
Candidates who chose the polytechnic and scored the required cut-off mark in the 2016 UTME.

Method Of Application
Admission forms can be obtained through the polytechnic website, www.plapoly.edu.ng at the school ICT Centres in Jos and the Main Campus of the Polytechnic where candidates will apply and generate RRR for payment.

Payment of N2000 (Two Thousand Naira) can be made in Cash at designated banks or through the Card Payment option on the school portal after generating payment code (RRR).

Note: All Post-UTME Screening ends on Monday 22nd August, 2016.

Authority of the Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State has released the amount payable as fees by undergraduates of the institution for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Bowen University School Fees Structure and Payment Procedure.

  • For students in B.A. and Sc. Programmes, all Fees and Levies in B and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of N 300.000.00 must be paid from the Session Fees (A) in the First Semester before Registration.
  • For students in the Law Faculty, all Fees and Levies in B and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of fit 500.000.00 must be paid from the Session Fees (A) in the First Semester before Registration.
  • For students in the Medicine and Surgery Department (Pre-clinical), all Fees and Levies in B and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of fit 000.00 must be paid from the Session Fees (A) in the First Semester before Registration.
  • For students in the Medicine and Surgery Department (Clinical), all Fees and Levies in B and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of fit 000.000.00 must be paid from the Session Fees (A) in the First Semester before Registration.
  • The balance of the sessional fees is to be paid before 2nd semester registration in February of the following year.
  • All Students are required to registered for their semester courses within the first four weeks of resumption. Late registration after four weeks attracts a penalty of NIO,OOO.OO. NB: Registration for courses is contingent on full payment of the Semester prescribed fees and levies.
  • Feeding shall be at approved Cafeterias for which students themselves “Pay As You Eat” (PAYE).
– All 200(Direct Entry) students are to pay through the Branch Collect System with the Skye Bank Pic. (Just go online to www.bowenuniversity.edu.ng)

The Oxford 1+1 MBA is a unique opportunity for talented individuals to combine a Master’s degree from one of several Oxford University departments with their one-year MBA.

Scholarships are available for pursuing Oxford 1+1 MBA programme. Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.

The Oxford Pershing Square Scholarship provides funding for tuition, college fees and at least £14,057 toward living expenses for both years of study.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the Oxford Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship,

- Students must receive an offer to study on the Oxford 1+1 MBA. Applicant criteria

- The combination of academic and leadership potential.
- Strong personal character.
- Experience, aptitude, and intention of pursuing a career that addresses global challenges.
- Articulated vision on how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will allow you to fulfill this intention.

As guidance, students should have a 2.1 (3.5 GPA) or its equivalent. If they were not awarded a minimum of 2.1 they may still be considered provided they have a very strong employment record demonstrating a high degree of responsibility.

University looks for a high level of quantitative and analytical skills evidenced in the GMAT/GRE results. While they don’t ask for a minimum score, they recommend that candidates apply with a GMAT score of 650 or above. Our current class has an average GMAT score of around 690.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test Scheme (IELTS) must be taken, and all minimum scores met if applicants are not from a majority English speaking country, as defined by the UK Visas and Immigration.

- Relevant professional experience detailed in a 1-page CV

Curtin Business School Innovation Undergraduate Scholarships in Australia

Curtin University is offering five scholarships for undergraduate students. These scholarships are available for international students who have chosen to study in the field of business information systems/technology.

Scholarships are provided in Commerce (Business Information Systems, Business Information Technology and Business Information Technology and Systems).

The CBS Innovation International Scholarship will provide the following support for the expected duration of the undergraduate degree for up to a maximum of three years (based on a full-time study load of at least 100 credits per semester):

- A total value of up to $9,000 paid as a cash stipend of $1,500 per semester. The amount can be used at the recipient’s discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.

Payments occur post census date each semester. Payments will be made approximately mid-end April and September each year.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the CBS Innovation International Scholarship:

- International student and hold a valid Student Visa – Higher Education (Subclass 573)
- Received a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) into an eligible undergraduate degree and major at Curtin University in 2017
- Applicants’ IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall band score should be minimum 6.5 and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) should be 79 (overall).

 MAPOLY Notice On Re-opening Of Registration Portal 2016

The Management, in its magnanimity has re-opened the portal to all categories of students from 12noon on Thursday, 4th August, 2016.

The re-opening, which still has the late registration fee of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) as penalty will run till 12 midnight on Saturday, 6th August, 2016.

Any student who fails to pay between Thursday, 4th and midnight of Saturday, 6th August, 2016 will be made to pay the sum of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only as penalty.
The Ten Thousand Naira penalty, which commences from midnight of Saturday, 6th August will end on Friday, 12th August, 2016 when the portal will be finally closed.

All affected students are hereby urged to take advantage of the opportunity granted as there will be NO further extension.

2016 WAEC May/June Result Statistics

 From the latest report reaching giststudents team, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2016/2017 WAEC May/June results.

 NOTE: If you have not check your waec result then see Steps to Check the 2016 WAEC May/June Results.

WAEC result updates —— May/June result statistics for the 2016/2017 have been announced by the Head of National Office, WAEC. Only 53 per cent of the participants had credits in 5 subjects and above, including English and Maths.


A total of 1,552,758 candidates registered for the examination. Out of which 1,544,234 candidates, consisting of 825,650 male representing 53.5% & 718,585 female representing 46.5% candidates sat the exam.
1,393,907 candidates, representing 90.26% have their results fully released. While 158,718 candidates, representing 9.74% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to some errors mainly traceable to the candidates and schools in the course of registration or writing the examination. Such errors are being corrected by the Council to enable the affected candidates get their results fully processed & released subsequently.
1,438,679 candidates, representing 93.16% obtained credits and above in two (2) subjects. 1,370,049 candidates, representing 88.72% obtained credits and above in three (3) subjects. 1,282,204 candidates, representing 83.03% obtained credits and above in four (4) subjects. 1,167,484 candidates, representing 75.60% obtained credits and above in five (5) subjects. 1,014,573 candidates, representing 65.70% obtained credits and above in six (6) subjects. 878,040 candidates, representing 52.97%, obtained credits in five subjects & above, including English Language & Mathematics. The percentage of candidates that got 5 credits & above including Eng Lang & Maths in the WASSCE for School Candidates in 2015 was 38.68%.
The results of 137,295 candidates, representing 8.89% are being withheld in connection with various cases of examination malpractice. The cases are being investigated & reports of the investigation will be presented to the appropriate committee of the Council in due course. The Committee’s decisions will be communicated to the affected candidates through their schools.
133 visually challenged candidates registered for and sat the examination. From this figure, 23 candidates, representing 17.29% got credits in 5 subjects, including English Language & Mathematics.
Candidates who sat for the exam can check the details of their performance on the Council’s results website in 24 hours time.
