UNIBEN Develops Indigenous Software For Computer Based Testing
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin Prof. F.F.O. Orumwense
has disclosed that the institution has developed indigenous software for
the conduct of its Computer Based Testing, CBT for all examinations in
the university including Post-UTME/DE .
According to him, this makes University of Benin the first University to achieve such feat in Nigeria.
He further mentioned the enhancement of the ICT Unit is being extended
to other units in the school with the provision of the E-learning
multimedia teaching programs which will aid the advancement of teaching
and learning process, the linking all faculties, units/hostels with
fibre optics for the enhancement of internet connectivity 24/7.
He equally stated that the institution has approved the establishment
of a paperless senate meeting and result presentation powered by online
application using Internet connectivity and the computerization of the
Registry and Bursary Department for seamless operations as well as to
enhance the service delivery and the growth of the university.
